“To give others a shot at a chance in life to make a mark for themselves in society.”
- Antoinette Kaku
RBA means Returning Bright Ambitions, and is an acronym coined by a group of friends based in the US with a patriotic zeal for Ghana.
Ghanaian high school graduates of at least the past 5 years, who have been newly admitted to a government accredited tertiary institution in Ghana and is not a fee paying student are more than welcome to apply for the scholarships.
The scholarship is mostly funded by the founders, but the foundation is opened to donors who aspire to make a difference today.
Yes, the recipients of Scholarships are mentored throughout the four years of their scholarships, as long as they pass the annual review.
No for now, the RBA Foundation is not a registered 501c(3) with the IRS. Plans are being made to attain that status. Funds received would always be used toward our goal of helping the underprivileged and those without opportunities. Donors are encouraged to donate and the foundation would always strive to be as transparent as they could possibly be with the usage of their funds.
